Scottish Liberal Democrats can defeat Reform in key Central Scotland race
With just two days to go till the Holyrood election, polling data indicates that the Scottish Liberal Democrats are best positioned to stop Reform UK winning an extra regional seat in Central Scotland and Lothians West.
With the latest polls now included, the fight for the 7th and final regional seat is set to come down to just a fraction of the predicted vote.
According to the latest More in Common poll, the difference between the seat going to the Scottish Liberal Democrats or falling to Reform UK could come down to just 1,000 voters.
Scottish Liberal Democrat candidate for Central Scotland and Lothians West Paul McGarry has this message for voters:
"You have the power to keep Reform out. Not someone else. You. Every single peach ballot cast for the Scottish Liberal Democrats in this region closes that miniscule gap and brings us closer to denying Reform a seat in your parliament.
"People across Central Scotland and West Lothian are angry about Reform and what they represent, and they’re right to be – but anger doesn’t decide elections. Votes do. And right now the polling is telling us that the will exists in this region to stop Nigel Farage and Malcolm Offord.
"Taking that seat off Reform means giving the people of Central Scotland and Lothians West an MSP that will actually fight for them: a voice for the families stuck in temporary accommodation, the young people who cannot get on the housing ladder, the workers in Grangemouth who deserve a real plan for their future, and every community in Central Scotland and West Lothian that has been ignored and left behind for too long.
"Give the Scottish Liberal Democrats your vote on that peach regional ballot on May 7th and together we will send Reform packing."
