Rennie responds to embargoed child poverty report 

Responding to an embargoed report by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation that indicates one in five children in Scotland will still be in poverty by the end of the decade, Scottish Liberal Democrat economy spokesperson Willie Rennie MSP said:

“Child poverty has fast become yet another SNP broken promise.

“They’ve had almost two decades to change things, but huge numbers of children are still in poverty.

“If the government want to make a dent, they need to start tackling the root causes.”
