Rennie comments on school behaviour research

Commenting on the results of the Behaviour in Scottish Schools Research (BiSS) published by the Scottish Government today, Scottish Liberal Democrat education spokesperson Willie Rennie said:

“It’s no surprise that behaviour and violence in schools is a problem but this official research uncovers the depth of the crisis.

"Teachers and pupils have been ringing the alarm bells for a long time but the government have been turning a deaf ear. 

"We now need a plan of action from government that includes resources, support, boundaries and consequences. The SNP have a real challenge ahead of them. We will support them if they produce the right plan.”
