SNP reimpose £6.6m culture cuts “vandalism”

“This is cultural vandalism from Angus Robertson and the SNP.

“No one in the arts and culture sector should trust a word that comes out of SNP ministers’ mouths. They have given this money with one hand, secured the positive press and then snatched it away with the other.

“Scotland has a proud theatrical, artistic and literary history but unless the government gets serious about investing for the future, the hunt for the next generation of talent could be a long one. Not only that but the creative and events industries are also key parts of our economy and support many jobs.

“Scottish Liberal Democrats recognise that culture is critical, not a luxury. That’s why we want to see the SNP u-turn on their u-turn and reinstate this funding.”
