Scot Lib Dems will back bid for inquiry into Murrell embezzlement

Speaking ahead of Wednesday’s vote on an Inquiry to Restore Public Trust in Scottish Politics, Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Alex Cole-Hamilton MSP said:

"We will back Labour's bid for an inquiry in Scotland.

“Given that public money went to the SNP and perhaps into its former Chief Executive’s pocket, I think the case for such a probe is undeniable.

“It shouldn’t be left to the opposition to make this happen however. I am baffled that no SNP parliamentarian seems the least bit curious about how deep Peter Murrell’s deception went and where the money donated to their independence fundraiser went."
