Rennie responds to winter fuel confirmation

Responding to confirmation from the Scottish Government that pensioners will now get the same winter fuel payments as those in England, Scottish Liberal Democrat Willie Rennie MSP said:

“This is a sensible decision. Liberal Democrats made the case in our budget negotiations for winter fuel support to continue in Scotland and were pleased it was included in the final budget.  

“Adapting that policy to match that agreed by the UK Government means that there is a degree of equity across the UK.”
