Rennie responds to Edinburgh University news

Responding to the University of Edinburgh warning its staff of an ‘urgent’ gap in financial stability which could result in programmes and schools being closed, Scottish Liberal Democrat education spokesperson Willie Rennie MSP said:
“The government is in danger of sleepwalking into a disaster in our university sector.
“If they do not act fast, more jobs will be lost.
“There needs to be an acknowledgment that the current financing model is just not fit for purpose.”
