Rennie: Independence is distraction from SNP failures

Responding to John Swinney’s interviews on the BBC this morning, Scottish Liberal Democrat Willie Rennie MSP said:
“John Swinney and the SNP need to talk about independence as a distraction because they have failed to deliver after almost two decades in charge.
“He aims to use the crutch of independence to restore the fortunes of the party as their support has plummeted.
“People will see through the strategy as they want change from the same old stuff.”
