Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Alex Cole-Hamilton has today used a visit to a bakery in Glasgow to say that making gains on the peach regional ballot would be the icing on the cake of a successful campaign as he urged voters to back his party to tackle the cost of living and deliver first rate healthcare.

Alex Cole-Hamilton said:

“Amid the ferries fiasco, the long waits to see your GP, and Scottish education sliding down the international rankings, the answer to none of the problems that Scotland faces is a third decade of SNP government.

“Scottish Liberal Democrats have run a positive campaign on the issues that voters tell us matter the most. Our plans will help you with the cost of living, deliver first-rate healthcare, get Scotland moving again and get Scottish education back to its best.

“Now with less than a week to go, in our ten target constituencies from Strathkelvin & Bearsden to Shetland we are on the verge of winning against the SNP. No matter where you are however, every vote for the Scottish Liberal Democrats on the second peach ballot will deliver MSPs who will get things done for their communities. Those regional gains would be the icing on the cake for our energetic campaign.

“Scotland deserves better than a third decade of the SNP. And with the Scottish Liberal Democrats, you can vote for it.”
