Scottish Liberal Democrat Alex Cole-Hamilton MSP has today said that his party is “continuing to get things done” as MSPs passed yet another amendment tabled by his party to a parliamentary debate.

Alex Cole-Hamilton tabled an amendment to the Scottish Government’s cyber resilience debate. It passed unanimously.

This is the seventh amendment successfully passed by the party in the Scottish Parliament since returning from the May election.

The amendment notes the risks to critical digital infrastructure from sabotage by hostile actors.

It also recognises the importance of resilient and diverse connectivity for Scotland’s island and remote communities.

Speaking after the amendment was passed, Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Alex Cole-Hamilton MSP said:

“As the seventh amendment we have passed in this parliament so far, this shows just how serious we are about getting stuff done.

“We want to make sure that the voices of all of Scotland are heard. It’s why this particular amendment stressed how much rural and island communities depend on resilient connectivity.

“We will continue to use the influence we have in this parliament to help the people we are here to represent.”
