Lib Dems call for new global football body

Responding to the Scottish FA joining the unanimous UEFA boycott of any FIFA competition for so long as the organisation plans to sell-off the World Cup, Scottish Liberal Democrat David Green MSP said:

“Gianni Infantino has done so much damage to football’s reputation. We need an end to FIFA's relentless profiteering and cronyism. It is beyond repair.

“The Tartan Army was stung by FIFA's pricing for this year’s World Cup. This latest scandal must be the moment to protect the fans and our game for good.

“Infantino needs to be shown the red card. UEFA should lead the creation of a new global footballing body built on accountability and transparency that puts fans first."
