Greene: SNP manifesto is "stuffed with cynically timed freebies"

Commenting on the Institute for Fiscal Studies response to today's SNP manifesto launch, Scottish Liberal Democrat economy spokesperson Jamie Greene said: 

“People often say that John Swinney resembles a bank manager, but bank managers always make sure their sums add up. 

“The SNP manifesto is stuffed with cynically timed freebies and giveaways, presumably the detail on how it will be paid for got lost on the way to the printers.

“Scottish Liberal Democrats have more respect for the people of Scotland than that, which is why we’re bringing forward practical plans that put economic growth front and centre.”
