Responding to Lord Malcolm Offord announcing Reform UK's Scottish candidates and manifesto, Scottish Liberal Democrat Jamie Greene MSP said:

“I left the Conservative Party because it had become Reform lite. But now it seems Reform is full of Tories who think their former party isn’t extreme enough.

“Why don’t they just merge into one big toxic right-wing entity and be done with it?

“As usual, there is nothing serious here. This is a party which doesn’t care about Scottish politics one iota.

"There’s only a contempt for devolution and democracy, a promise of Trump-style mass deportations, and a call to ‘cancel net zero’, which will simply hike bills even further whilst killing the environment around us

“Farage and Offord peddle division, negativity and cruelty, but Scotland will see right through their toxic Tory rebadging.

“Scottish Liberal Democrat candidates are taking the fight to Reform and their extreme ideas. We know that voters right across Scotland are ready to reject Farage’s poison.”
