Greene comments on Glasgow Subway strikes

Responding to the news that more than 100 Glasgow subway workers will strike this week, Scottish Liberal Democrat transport spokesperson, Jamie Greene MSP, said:

“These strikes will be deeply concerning to ordinary Glaswegians who rely on the Subway, particularly those who depend on it to get to and from work, school, college, or university.

“We all want drivers and other transport staff to be paid fairly and for the public to get a fair deal for their money.

“Effective, productive, and collegiate dialogue between unions and bosses is now imperative to reset relations and guarantee minimal disruption, especially following the recent crippling bus strikes across West Scotland.”
