Greene brands Findlay “McFarage”

Responding to Russell Findlay’s speech at the Scottish Conservative Conference, Scottish Liberal Democrat Jamie Greene MSP said:
“Fresh off the back of Kemi-geddon and her blundering attack on her Tory colleagues yesterday, Russell Findlay seems to have morphed into McFarage in a speech which would have had pride of place at a 1980s Tory conference.
“With a new policy of banning jobs that tackle discrimination and scrapping vital climate targets, many of Ruth Davidson’s broad-church Conservatives will have been squirming in their seats, many more probably didn’t turn up at all.
"Sadly, it looks likes the nasty party is well and truly back in Scotland.
"By pursuing a Reform-lite agenda, they seem hellbent on wiping themselves off the Scottish political map by next May with purging the party of decent centrists.
“Fresh from winning more MPs in Scotland than the Scottish Conservatives last year, Liberal Democrats are offering a positive alternative and working hard for you on the issues that matter.
“At next year’s Scottish Parliament election, people have the chance to send a message to the Tories and elect a Liberal Democrat MSP using their peach regional ballot paper. That’s how we can bring some much-needed decency back into Scottish politics."
