Dunlop comments on embargoed SHRC South of Scotland report 

Responding to an embargoed report from the Scottish Human Rights Commission on the South of Scotland that warns people are being denied their rights by public authorities, Scottish Liberal Democrat Duncan Dunlop MSP said:

"This is a pretty shocking report from Scotland's human rights watchdog.

"Far too many people in the South of Scotland are excluded from essential services.

"Too many local services are being dictated from Edinburgh by arrogant SNP ministers, meanwhile overstretched local volunteers are relied on to fill the gaps.

"Scottish Liberal Democrats want to see meaningful control over local services decided by those who actually live there. That's how we ensure that everyone's basic needs are met."
