Cole-Hamilton responds to ‘exponential’ rise in cardiology waits

Responding to the British Heart Foundation’s embargoed research that waiting times for cardiology services in Scotland are at their highest ever on record, Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Alex Cole-Hamilton MSP said:

“This is an exponential rise.

“For the last eighteen years, the SNP government have completely failed to ease waits. Their neglect has created misery for staff and patients alike.

“We must urgently address the backlog and support staff, but it’s clear this government lack the understanding or creativity to do so.”
