Cole-Hamilton: Report proves SNP are terrible for your health

Responding to the Auditor General's annual NHS Overview report, which finds that the NHS has not improved in line with the SNP Government's promises despite more staff and money, "a persistent implementation gap", which means changes are announced but not delivered, and hospitals still doing less than they were pre-pandemic, Scottish Liberal Democrat Leader Alex Cole-Hamilton MSP said:

“This report exposes the SNP’s severe mismanagement of our NHS. It used to be the envy of the world, but far too many people now aren't getting the care they need, when they need it.

“From sky-high waits for treatment to dangerous staff shortages, the SNP have proved to be terrible for your health. They have no real plan or vision for how to fix things. Scotland deserves better.

“After eighteen years, patients and staff deserve change with fairness at its heart. The Scottish Liberal Democrats' realistic plan will deliver faster access to GPs, fix care, tackle staff shortages and establish the world-class mental health services Scotland deserves.

"Scotland needs a change of government. Next May, wherever you are, every vote for the Scottish Liberal Democrats on your second, peach-coloured ballot paper will deliver change for our NHS with fairness at its heart."
