Alex Cole-Hamilton’s message as polls close

Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Alex Cole-Hamilton said:

“As polls close I would like to thank all of the Scottish Liberal Democrat candidates and activists who have worked so hard to deliver a positive and energetic campaign from the Borders to the Highlands and Islands.

“Together, we’ve been relentlessly knocking on doors, hearing what isn’t working and fixing things. It is humbling to have met so many people who are backing us to deliver change with fairness at its heart.

“Whether you voted for us or not, we will work our hearts out to get stuff done, focusing on the cost of living, delivering first-rate healthcare, getting Scotland moving again and getting Scottish education back to its best.

“For now, we are eagerly awaiting the results.”
