Aberdeen hospitals years late and triple budget

Responding to confirmation that two Aberdeen hospitals originally due to open in 2020 have been further delayed, North East Scotland MSP Yi-pei Chou Turvey said:

"This latest delay is deeply disappointing for patients, families and NHS staff who have already waited far too long.

"The Baird Family Hospital and ANCHOR Unit were meant to open in 2020, yet years later people are still being asked to wait while costs have spiralled to three times the original budget.

"Ministers must explain how this happened and set out a clear plan to deliver these vital facilities without any further delays.”
