Candidate for Dumfriesshire

I have lived in Dumfries and Galloway most of my life from birth. I love this area and am passionate about what it has to offer.

I am a retired solicitor who is keen to contribute towards the development of our area and its people.

To this end for a number of years I have been a board member of the Better Lives Partnership providing training for young people with autism and the GSAB Biosphere looking to enhance our environment, as well as local Rugby and Golf Club committees which enhance health while also developing youth interests.

I believe in people working together and joined the Liberal Democrats after seeing the impact the EU Referendum had on our youth and the division it was creating. In these difficult times I believe we should be trying to engage with each other rather than simply trying to shout each other down.
