Speaking ahead of the one year anniversary of Humza Yousaf taking over as First Minister, Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Alex Cole-Hamilton said:

"The SNP defied political gravity for many years but they are coming back down to earth with a bump.

"Scandals have engulfed their party and every policy initiative they touch ends in chaos. I almost feel a little sorry for Humza Yousaf.

"People are sick and tired of division. They want representatives that won’t make empty promises but will get the basics right, like local access to GPs and dentists and tackling the cost of living crisis. On these issues Humza Yousaf has been nowhere.

"Scotland badly needs to change direction and Scottish Liberal Democrats are determined to be part of what's next."
