Commenting on the First Minister’s intervention today that ScotRail would publish the 250 point improvement plan in the coming days Scottish Liberal Democrat transport spokesperson Mike Rumbles MSP said:
“The agreement of the First Minister to publish the full Scotrail improvement plan comes a full four weeks after I asked the Transport Minister to do this.
“Commuters want to know what action they can expect and when it will be taken.
“The four week delay by the Scottish Government in setting out the details has been a real concern.
“Passengers are rightly frustrated and it’s not just because they are stuck waiting on a platform but also because the Scottish Government refused to communicate how they were going to deal with the situation.
“The Transport Minister has been all over the place in this crisis and has not fulfilled the commitments he gave me at the Committee on 26th October. He has been left red faced after the First Minister has had to come in and clear this up.”
