Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Willie Rennie MSP has blasted the SNP Government for ploughing on with plans to slash air passenger duty (APD), as he raises concerns over the environmental impact cutting the tax would have.

Scottish Liberal Democrat health spokesman Jim Hume MSP has today accused the SNP Government of consigning mental health services to the back seat, as new figures reveal that almost two million working days have been lost by councils as result of mental ill health since 2011.

The latest annual figures setting out the income and expenditure for Scotland have just been published.

The top line from the latest figures showed that had we voted for independence, Scots would have faced leaving the UK with a gap between revenue and expenditure of £13.7bn.

This is more than we currently spend on NHS services every year.
