Speaking ahead of tomorrow’s debate on the Climate Change Bill, Scottish Liberal Democrat energy spokesperson Liam McArthur MSP said:
“Our primary focus must be on taking early action to cut emissions and ensuring we see concrete change, soon. That’s why the Liberal Democrats are intent on securing a commitment to cut Scotland’s emissions by 75% by 2030 included in the Climate Change Bill.
“We haven’t got time to waste. Younger generations are looking to this parliament to make tough and ambitious decisions today. This is both a credible and ambitious proposal to increase Scotland’s climate change targets."
