Candidate for Linlithgow
Sally Pattle is lucky enough to live and work in Linlithgow, so she knows how special the area is. As the manager of an independent bookshop, she already campaigns for real reform of business rates to keep our High Streets as the beating hearts of our towns and ensuring local employment and fairer taxation to help everyone enjoy better living standards. Sally also works with local schools and other providers to improve literacy and engagement with education to help close the attainment gap. One way in which she does this is the West Lothian Schools Festival which she founded in 2015. This free festival is open to all schools in the West Lothian and helps pupils make the connection between reading, writing and creative thinking.
