Joe is a driven political campaigner, born and raised in Glasgow Southside, where he attended Holyrood Secondary School, he completed further education at Langside College before he entered the world of work and gaining his first job in politics.
As a young LGBT+ kid, growing up in a disadvantaged, single-parent household, Joe understands the many diverse issues facing working families across Scotland day in day out.
He is passionate about using his experience to connect with people and help improve their lives through access to better facilities, services and crucially in this new role to safeguard museums, galleries, libraries, and the creative arts. Making it a number one priority to build cultural awareness within all communities.
Joe draws upon his own personal and political experiences to connect with and lead communities in campaigning to ensure that the people at the heart of them build better after the pandemic.
