Edinburgh West MP Christine Jardine has today said that comments from RBS Chief Executive Ross McEwan warning that a “bad Brexit” could push the UK into a recession show that the UK Government's handling of Brexit is leaving blue-chip businesses baffled.
Ms Jardine, whose constituency contains the RBS headquarters, said:
"The UK Government's handling of Brexit is leaving blue-chip businesses like RBS baffled.
"The Government have to got to stop the madness and heed the warnings before they take us over the edge of the cliff.
"The Prime Minister is too concerned with her own party and not enough with the country. It's time for a People's Vote with the opportuntiy to exit from Brexit."
