Alan Reid was the MP for Argyll & Bute for 14 years. He served in many roles including chairing Select Committee inquiries into the electricity grid and telecommunications in the Highlands & Islands. He gained a maths degree at Strathclyde University, working in tomato greenhouses during the summer. He worked in computing before being elected to Parliament progressing to project manager. He now serves as a Councillor on Argyll & Bute Council. He is a vice-convener of the Scottish Liberal Democrats and has helped at many by-elections in the Highlands & Islands, from Shetland to the Mull of Kintyre.

Molly Nolan

Molly is from Evanton in Ross-shire. She studied traditional Scottish piano and fiddle at Plockton Music School before attending Harvard University. Now back home in the Highlands, Molly works closely with businesses of all sizes to help them adapt to legislative and regulatory changes in both Scotland and the UK. 

Molly is the Liberal Democrat candidate for Caithness, Sutherland and Ross, the Party’s top target seat at the 2021 Holyrood election. A passionate advocate for the Highlands, Molly is pushing for investment into high quality jobs, affordable housing stock, fast broadband, equal access to public services and key environmental protections.
