Candidate for Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse
Mark got into politics to help people and as an MSP he will focus on finding solutions to real problems. He is a serving councillor for Hamilton and deputy leader of South Lanarkshire's Liberal Democrats group. Over the past four years he has worked across party lines to achieve results for his constituents, becoming known as an effective and honest local representative.
He believes the next Scottish Parliament must make sure the government puts recovery first, with MSPs highlighting public concerns to help improve policies and laws, and ensure ministers focus on the needs of communities.
Mark is determined to run a campaign that inspires trust. He previously worked as a public sector media officer after a spell as a local reporter. He is 35 and married with a two-year-old daughter.
