Derek Mackay latest “slopey shoulders” on Ferguson Marine

Responding to Derek Mackay’s written evidence to the Public Audit Committee, Scottish Liberal Democrat economy spokesperson Willie Rennie MSP said:

“Every SNP minister, past and present, has slopey shoulders. All avoid the question of why warnings were ignored - a decision that has cost islanders and taxpayers 5 years and £250m.

“Derek Mackay must appear before Parliament, there must be a public inquiry into this fiasco, and ministers must finally commit to offering their resignations if there are more delays and costs.”
