Speaking ahead of the Scottish Parliament's long Covid debate on Thursday 19th May, Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Alex Cole-Hamilton said:
"More than two years since the start of the pandemic, this is the first parliamentary debate in government time on long Covid. Instead, it has been left to the Liberal Democrats and others to lead the way.
“There are no clinics in Scotland. There is no in-home support. Less than 1% of sufferers accessing a critical support service. That's a terrifying record of failure.
"People with long Covid would be better off moving to England where crucial support services are available. The SNP have let more than 150,000 Scots down."
