Cole-Hamilton: Salmond should leave RT after Ofcom verdict

Responding to a ruling from Ofcom that RT broke broadcasting codes seven times in the wake of the Salisbury poisoning incident, Scottish Liberal Democrat MSP Alex Cole-Hamilton said:

“The Salisbury attacks amount to the release of chemical weapons on UK soil by a foreign agent. This was roundly condemned by politicians from all sides and the vast majority of media outlets.

“RT have been caught red handed, spinning furiously to deny Russian involvement. By offering a veneer of respectability through his involvement in their channel, Scotland’s former First Minister Alex Salmond is complicit by association with this propaganda.

“He must end his association with RT immediately. He is on the wrong side of history here.”
