Scott: Schools need money and staff not structural tinkering

Responding to John Swinney's comments at the Scottish Learning Festival, Scottish Liberal Democrat education spokesperson Tavish Scott MSP said:

"John Swinney has failed to convince Parliament that his endless pursuit of structural changes to education is working.

"His own self-appointed education advisors have told him to stop obsessing about structure.

"Instead he should have used this as an opportunity to ask teachers in Glasgow what they want: top down control by his quango or more money, teaching support and extra staff for Scotland’s schools? I know what answer he would have got."
