Rumbles: Passengers get sinking feeling over ferry delays

Commenting on reports that the delivery of two new ferries for the Clyde and Hebrides network has been delayed again and that the vessels, which were originally due this summer, are not now due until Summer 2019 and Spring 2020 respectively, Scottish Liberal Democrat transport spokesperson Mike Rumbles MSP said:

“Our roads are crumbling, our trains are unreliable and now there are more delays to the delivery of new ships for Scotland’s ferry network. The SNP are offering absolutely nothing to people on the move.

“Passengers on the west coast will have a sinking feeling once again when they find out these ferries are delayed.”
