Responding to reports that Theresa May is planning to leave the single market and the customs union Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Willie Rennie MSP said:
"This reckless behaviour by Theresa May risks our economy and jobs. Withdrawing from the Customs Union and Single Market is not in our country's interest. This is the real danger of handing the Conservatives a blank cheque so they can agree any deal they fancy irrespective of the consequences. That is why we need a Brexit Deal Referendum so the British people can have a say on the final deal. The Liberal Democrats stand for Scotland in the U.K. and the U.K. in Europe."
