Scottish Liberal Democrats will today (Saturday 17th November) launch a National Action Day in support of a People's Vote. From Thurso to the Borders, Liberal Democrat groups will campaign in their communities in opposition to Brexit
Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Willie Rennie and NE Fife parliamentary candidate Wendy Chamberlain will be campaigning at a street stall in St Andrews with party members and the Liberal Democrat Brexitometer.
Speaking ahead of the National Action Day, Mr Rennie said:
"Brexit threatens to cause huge damage to our economy, security and environment and the deal Theresa May has secured has utterly disintegrated. Brexit will hurt the pockets of ordinary people and leave the UK weakened.
"This is not inevitable. Liberal Democrats demand better. That's why I am delighted to see our members in communities across Scotland getting out and about and making a People's Vote and an Exit from Brexit.
"It's only the Scottish Liberal Democrats who are standing up for the majority of Scots that are pro-UK, pro-EU and progressive."
