Jean Davis

About
Jean is a doctor who worked in industry for a global company before relocating to the Highlands and Islands over 10 years ago. Since then she has worked as an independent consultant providing services to a range of private employers, for the Health Service and has worked in the Third Sector as a suicide prevention co-ordinator. She has also been involved with local voluntary organisations including Rape Crisis and Advocacy, Mental Health organisations and as a volunteer worker for the CAB.
She is passionate about representing the needs of people in the Highlands and Islands locally and regionally and has served on her local community association, community council and has campaigned for local issues. She stood for Parliament in the 2005 and 2010 Westminster elections, for the Highlands and Islands List for Holyrood in 2007 and for the local council in the same year.
She believes her wide experience and local commitment qualify her to represent the needs of the Region at Holyrood and that her local experience over many years gives her the knowledge and experience to deliver for the Highlands and Islands.
She is running for office to use her skills to make a difference for residents in this Region and to make sure our voice is heard and listened to. The Highlands and Islands have particular needs and these needs must be considered in any decisions made in the Scottish Parliament.
When not working and campaigning she enjoys socialising with friends and getting out and about with her two Golden Retrievers.
