More importantly, your hard work will be actively helping the Party achieve numerous targets in the lead up to the 2014 European Election.

Job Title: Call Centre Agents

Responsible to: Director of Campaigns

Salary: £7 per hour. Temporary contract until 22nd May 2014

Hours: shift work between Monday – Saturday.

Location: Scottish Liberal Democrats HQ, Edinburgh

We’re looking for experienced call centre agents who will help the Party achieve numerous targets in the lead up to the 2015 General Election and beyond. The successful candidate will work a shift pattern between Monday – Saturday on outbound calls. Achieving various targets will form a large part of the role and regular coaching/monitoring by a supervisor will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Place outbound voter identification calls • Undertake various ad hoc telephony activities as required • Meet set targets and KPIs

Our Call Centre Agents are a first line of contact with the Scottish Liberal Democrat Party for many people who are in contact with us, and as such we are looking for someone who will use their motivation and skill to work in a call centre environment achieving set targets while projecting the ethos of the Party.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Demonstrable previous call centre or dealing with the public experience

• Driven by targets

• Working knowledge of the Scottish Liberal Democrats

• Call Quality – demonstrable experience of compliance with controls and policies even when under pressure

• Communication – possess a high impact phone manner that is concise, confident, and engaging

• Customer Focused – put the ‘customer’ at the heart of everything by delivering a unique and distinctive service

• Skilled Influencer – able to gain commitment by presenting facts and tailoring calls to specific needs

SENIOR CAMPAIGN ORGANISER: Volunteer and infrastructure building


Job Description

Job Title: Senior Campaign Organiser: Volunteer & Infrastructure Building

Salary range: £18,000 - £22,000 dependent on experience + pension contribution.

Line Manager: Director of Campaigns for Scotland, Adam Stachura.

Location: Dingwall, with work across the constituency

Job description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced campaign organiser to drive campaign activity in the Ross, Skye and Lochaber constituency. They will work closely with MP Charles Kennedy and Propsective Scottish Parliament Candidate Kate Stephen.

You will be responsible for building the campaigning capacity of the Scottish Liberal Democrats in the constituency, developing and executing campaign plans, ensuring targets are met and communicating with voters through face to face, telephone, online and print channels.

Key roles and responsibilities:

To coordinate and drive the identification of voters, recruitment, training, development, motivation and retention of members and volunteers to mutually agreed targets

To oversee the organisation of volunteers to deliver the campaign plans for the constituency.

To ensure the delivery of a programme of doorstep and telephone voter contact to mutually agreed targets.

To ensure the delivery of a fundraising programme within the constituency.

To ensure the delivery of an effective online campaign using the full range of e-campaigning tools.

To advise the line manager, as appropriate, on organisational, communication and/or maintenance priorities which may benefit the smooth running of the campaign.

To undertake such training as is recommended to develop and update required skills.

To undertake such other duties as the line manger may require to further the effective communication, campaigning and organisation in the constituency.

Additional notes

The post is a fixed term contract until June 2015 but may be extended by mutual agreement.

The post operates on a full time basis, Mon – Fri 9am – 5.30pm. The post will involve regular evening and weekend working, for which time of in lieu will be available

Annual leave is 25 days holiday per year plus 8 public holidays

The period of notice will be 1 month and there will be an initial 6 month probationary period
