Commenting on export figures released today by CBI Scotland, Scottish Liberal Democrat Deputy leader Jo Swinson MP said:
“While it is welcome that exports were up 14% in the three months to July, it is concerning that new domestic orders for manufacturers were down 17% on the previous quarter.
“Instead of focussing on separating Scotland from the rest of the UK, the SNP need to get a handle on the economic situation currently gripping Scotland.
“The Scottish Government needs to make Scotland’s economic recovery its first priority.”
