Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Tavish Scott was joined by Highland MP Charles Kennedy and Highland candidates Alan MacRae and Christine Jardine on a visit to Landmark Park in Carrbridge.

Commenting after the visit, Tavish Scott said:

"There are just days to go before people choose how they will vote.

"An SNP vote is for independence and 5 years of a permanent political campaign for separatism.

"People want a party who will concentrate on jobs and growing the economy, on restoring excellence to education and in stopping the others abolishing your local police force which will cut 3,000 police officers across Scotland.

"If you share these priorities, the only vote that works for you is the Liberal Democrats."

Liberal Democrat Highland MP Charles Kennedy added:

"I believe that Highland voters will stick with the Scottish Liberal Democrats as a party of consistency and principle.

"There’s every indication that in the closing stages of the campaign our traditional vote is shoring up in our favour.

"It’s also encouraging to detect the level of support for voting reform at Westminster, which augers well for a Yes to AV."
