Commenting after campaigning in Edinburgh Central with candidate Alex Cole Hamilton, Edinburgh Western Candidate Margaret Smith said:

“The public don’t want another 4 years of empty promises from the SNP. I am hearing on the door steps that people and families want a strong Government that understand the tough choices they have to make.

“They want real plans and solutions on creating jobs, keeping services local and restoring excellence in Scottish education. It’s Scottish Liberal Democrats who have those solutions.

“We will be bringing forward plans in our manifesto next week on our proposals to invest heavily in early years education and early intervention, to make sure that we give children in Scotland the best start in life and a better future.”
