Edinburgh West’s MP, Mike Crockart, has sent his congratulation to John Bendo and Jahura Hussain, after they were elected to represent Edinburgh Western in the Scottish Youth Parliament.

Commenting today, Mike said:

“I send my congratulations to the new members, and look forward to working with them – particularly on lowering the voting age to 16 and on opposing student tuition fees – both of which are causes I strongly support.

“I will be in touch with them soon in order to arrange joint surgeries with them at their schools, when I hope that we’ll be joined by Margaret Smith, after she is returned as their adult counterpart - the MSP for Edinburgh Western.”
