Commenting as the Scottish Information Commissioner`s annual review is launched today, Liberal Democrat Chief Whip Mike Rumbles said:

“Freedom of Information plays a vital role in holding the Government and other public bodies to account.

“Liberal Democrats have long supported the Commissioner’s call for an extension of FoI powers.

“Powers should go wherever public money is spent.”
