Stone highlights plight of constituent trapped in Libya at First Minister's Questions

Jamie Stone, Liberal Democrat MSP for Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross highlighted the plight of a constituent from the village of Inver who is trapped in Libya at First Minister’s Questions today.

Concerned work colleagues of Mr William Skinner alerted his wife, Leanne Skinner to the fact that her husband is trapped in a flat in Tripoli with no means of communication.

His work colleagues are doing all they can to reach him so they can all get home to the UK safely.

Commenting Mr Stone said:

“Understandably this is of huge concern. We want Mr Skinner back in Scotland safe and sound. That is why I chose to raise it with the First Minister today.

“It must be an extremely challenging and frightening time for him as he tries to deal with the situation he finds himself in.

“I know how extremely upsetting and worrying this situation is for his family and our thoughts are with them at this time.”
