Liberal Democrats won a victory as the Scottish Parliament voted for our proposal to create a national battery charging infrastructure for electric vehicles.
Speaking after a Parliamentary debate on the issue, Climate Change spokesperson Alison McInnes said:
"The Government need to prepare the ground for the next generation of vehicles. Electric vehicles will only move out of science fiction when the infrastructure is in place to support them.
"Liberal Democrats want to see a comprehensive battery charging network across the country. We can usher in the era of personal green vehicles by taking this step to encourage uptake.
"The network would be a central part of the green sustainable economy of the future."
