Commenting on the chief hospital inspector remarks that she is surprised at the poor condition of the country’s infirmaries Liberal Democrat Health Spokesman, Ross Finnie said:

“It is hugely disappointing that hospitals in Scotland are in a poor state of cleanliness.

“Its time the Scottish government gets tough and extends its zero tolerance approach to hand washing for staff to visitors.

“Patients deserve the best care when they are in hospital, which includes clean and safe hospitals.”
