Commenting on the news that Barclaycard is to close its office in Scotland, Liberal Democrat Glasgow MSP Robert Brown said:

“It is highly regrettable that the company has come to this decision.

“The loss of 350 jobs in Glasgow at this point in time is very bad news for the city.

“It is extremely disappointing that company rejected representations made by myself and others to try and save these jobs.”
