Commenting on reports that the SNP won’t lodge a formal independence bill, but will only lodge a draft bill for yet another public consultation, Liberal Democrat Chief Whip Mike Rumbles MSP said:

“After three years of rhetoric, millions of pounds of taxpayers’ money and a public road show, people will find it impossible to believe that the SNP still doesn’t know what to say on independence.

“But when they’re deciding who to vote for, the public will understand that the SNP stand for independence, while the Liberal Democrats stand for a fairer Britain.”
