Commenting on the announcement that Stena Line has been given the green light from the Scottish Government to relocate to Cairnryan from its present port at Stranraer, South of Scotland MSP Jim Hume said:

“The Scottish Liberal Democrats welcome the positive development at Cairnryan but the Scottish Government must ensure that they continue to keep their promise that the waterfront will be regenerated at Stranraer.

”Stranraer needs a vibrant waterfront to boost their economy and to continue to attract tourism.”
